Shrink bloated SVG files
SVGs exported straight from design tools carry a surprising amount of dead weight: editor metadata, comments, empty groups, hidden layers, and coordinate numbers carried to far more decimal places than any screen could ever show. This optimiser strips all of that out, removing comments and empty tags and rounding numbers sensibly, so the SVG becomes substantially smaller while looking pixel-for-pixel identical to before. The saving is invisible in the result and very visible in the file size.
Why exported SVGs are so large
Design tools optimise their output for continued editing, not for delivery to a browser, so they leave in everything that might conceivably be useful to an editor later: layer names, editor annotations, grouping structure, and precise coordinates to many decimal places. None of it affects how the SVG actually renders on screen, but all of it adds bytes to every request. Cleaning it can cut the file size substantially, which matters especially because SVGs are so often loaded inline, where every single byte becomes part of the page weight.
Cleaner code, identical result
It runs entirely in your browser, so nothing you enter is uploaded and the generated code is yours to paste straight into a project. Because it works client-side, you can iterate freely, regenerating as often as you like without a round trip to any server.

Frequently Asked Questions
Why are exported SVGs so bloated?
Because design tools leave in editor metadata, comments, empty groups and over-precise numbers, all useful for editing but irrelevant to how the SVG renders.
Does optimising change how it looks?
No. It removes data that does not affect rendering and rounds numbers to a precision the screen cannot distinguish, so the result looks identical but is smaller.
How much smaller does it get?
Often substantially, especially for SVGs straight from a design tool. The saving matters most for inline SVGs, where every byte is part of the page.
What does it remove?
Comments, empty tags and groups, editor metadata, and excess decimal places on coordinates, none of which affect the visible result.
Is my SVG uploaded?
No. The optimiser runs entirely in your browser.
