This tool visualises how controls map to the risks they mitigate, so you can see the coverage and, more importantly, the gaps where a risk has no control behind it.
Why the mapping reveals gaps
Listing controls and listing risks separately hides the connection between them. Visualising the links shows two failure modes at once: a risk with no control pointing at it, which is an unmanaged exposure, and a control mitigating nothing, which is wasted effort. Both are invisible in a flat list and obvious in a map, which is why traceability is a core idea in security and compliance frameworks.
