Sort IPs the way they actually order
Sorting IP addresses as plain text puts 10.0.0.2 after 10.0.0.19, because "1" comes before "2" character by character. That alphabetical order is almost never what you want. This tool sorts a list of IPv4 addresses in true numeric order, so 10.0.0.2 comes before 10.0.0.19 as it should, ascending or descending.
Why text sorting gets it wrong
An IP address is four numbers, and each should be compared as a number, not as text. A text sort compares character by character, so it ranks 100 before 19 because "1" then "0" sorts before "1" then "9". Sorting numerically octet by octet fixes this, which is the only way a list of addresses comes out in the order a human expects and a network treats them.
Cleaner lists, fewer duplicates
Beyond ordering, the tool can remove duplicate addresses as it sorts, which is handy when the list came from concatenated logs or exports. The result is a clean, correctly ordered set you can scan or paste onward. The sorting runs in your browser, so an internal list of addresses is not uploaded.

Frequently Asked Questions
Why does sorting IPs as text get them wrong?
Because a text sort compares character by character, so 10.0.0.19 sorts before 10.0.0.2. Numeric sorting compares each octet as a number, giving the correct order.
Can it sort descending as well?
Yes. Choose ascending or descending; both use true numeric ordering rather than alphabetical.
Can it remove duplicates?
Yes. There is an option to remove duplicate addresses as it sorts, which cleans up lists built from concatenated logs or exports.
Does it handle IPv4 only?
It sorts IPv4 addresses into correct numeric order octet by octet.
Is my list uploaded?
No. The sorting runs entirely in your browser, so an internal address list stays on your machine.
Privacy & Security
All processing happens locally in your browser — nothing is uploaded.
How to Use
Paste IP addresses (one per line). They are sorted numerically and de-duplicated.
