See what gets masked in your logs
Logs routinely capture sensitive data that should not be stored or shared, and redacting it is essential. This tool lets you paste logs to see what sensitive data, personal information, card numbers and more, gets masked, so you can share or store logs safely.
Why log redaction matters
Logs are written liberally and read later, and they frequently capture things they should not: personal data, card numbers, tokens, all sitting in plain text where anyone with log access can see them. Before sharing a log with support, a vendor, or a wider team, or before retaining it, the sensitive parts must be masked. Redacting in the browser means the raw log never leaves your machine, which is the whole point, since uploading it to redact it would be the very exposure you are trying to prevent. The tool recognises common sensitive patterns and masks them.
Share logs safely
It runs entirely in your browser, so nothing you paste is uploaded and the result is yours to copy straight into a project. Because it works client-side, you can use it on private code and data without anything leaving your machine.

Frequently Asked Questions
What does it mask?
Common sensitive data in logs, personal information, card numbers, and similar patterns, replacing them so the log can be shared or stored safely.
Why redact logs?
Because logs capture sensitive data in plain text, and sharing or retaining them exposes it. Masking the sensitive parts first prevents that exposure.
Why redact in the browser?
Because uploading a log to redact it would be the very exposure you are trying to prevent. Local redaction keeps the raw log on your machine.
When should I redact?
Before sharing a log with support or a vendor, or before retaining it, so sensitive data does not travel or persist unnecessarily.
Is my log uploaded?
No. The redaction runs entirely in your browser.
