Generate the sequence without computing it by hand
The Fibonacci sequence, where each number is the sum of the two before it, appears throughout maths, nature and computer science. This generator produces the sequence up to a number of terms or up to a maximum value, so you get the exact numbers without adding them one pair at a time.
Why the sequence matters
Fibonacci numbers are more than a curiosity. The ratio between consecutive terms approaches the golden ratio, which is why the sequence appears in the spirals of shells, the arrangement of leaves and the proportions artists reach for. In computing it is the classic example for teaching recursion and dynamic programming. Generating the actual numbers makes those patterns concrete rather than abstract.
Two ways to bound it
You may want a fixed count of terms, the first twenty, say, or every term below a limit, all Fibonacci numbers under a thousand. The generator supports both because different problems ask for different bounds. The numbers grow quickly, roughly multiplying by the golden ratio each step, so a limit is reached in surprisingly few terms. The computation runs in your browser.

Frequently Asked Questions
What is the Fibonacci sequence?
A sequence where each number is the sum of the two before it, starting from 0 and 1: 0, 1, 1, 2, 3, 5, 8, 13 and so on.
What is its connection to the golden ratio?
The ratio between consecutive Fibonacci numbers approaches the golden ratio as the sequence grows, which is why it appears in natural spirals and artistic proportions.
Can I generate up to a value instead of a count?
Yes. You can produce a fixed number of terms or every term up to a maximum value, depending on what you need.
Why do the numbers grow so fast?
Because each term is roughly the previous one multiplied by the golden ratio, so the sequence grows exponentially and reaches large values in few terms.
Is anything uploaded?
