Build a sequence from its rule
Arithmetic and geometric sequences are defined by a simple rule, add a fixed step, or multiply by a fixed ratio, but writing out the terms by hand is tedious and mistakes compound. This generator produces the sequence from a starting value and a step or ratio, giving you the exact terms without the manual arithmetic.
The difference between the two kinds
An arithmetic sequence adds the same amount each step, so it grows in a straight line: 2, 5, 8, 11. A geometric sequence multiplies by the same ratio each step, so it grows exponentially: 2, 6, 18, 54. That distinction matters enormously, because geometric growth quickly outpaces arithmetic, which is the whole reason compound interest and viral spread behave the way they do. Generating both makes the contrast concrete.
For learning and quick modelling
Sequences are foundational in maths and useful for quick modelling: projecting a fixed monthly saving (arithmetic) or a percentage growth (geometric). Having the terms generated lets you see where a rule leads over many steps. The computation runs in your browser, so nothing is uploaded.

Frequently Asked Questions
What is the difference between arithmetic and geometric sequences?
An arithmetic sequence adds a fixed step each term, growing in a straight line; a geometric sequence multiplies by a fixed ratio, growing exponentially.
Why does geometric growth matter?
Because it quickly outpaces arithmetic growth, which is why compound interest and exponential processes behave so dramatically compared to fixed addition.
What inputs does it need?
A starting value and either a step (for arithmetic) or a ratio (for geometric), plus how many terms to produce.
What can I use it for?
Learning sequences, and quick modelling such as projecting fixed savings or percentage growth over many steps.
Is anything uploaded?
No. The computation runs entirely in your browser.
