A circular progress ring is a compact way to show how far along something is, from a download to a completion score. This generator draws a track ring with a coloured arc on top that fills to the percentage you enter, and can place the percentage as a label in the centre. You control the size, the ring thickness and both colours. The arc length is computed from the circle circumference so the fill is exactly proportional to the value.

The ring starts at the top and fills clockwise, the orientation people expect from a progress indicator.

Using progress rings

Progress rings are popular in dashboards, fitness apps and upload indicators because they convey a proportion at a glance in a small space. As scalable SVG, the ring stays crisp at any size and can be recoloured to signal status, such as green for good or red for low. To show a live value, you can regenerate the ring or update the dash offset with a little code.
