Sunrise & Sunset Calculator
Get sunrise, sunset, day length, solar noon and civil twilight for any coordinates and date using the NOAA algorithm — no data sent anywhere.
Last reviewed by the Radiatus Cloud team
Times are computed in your browser with the NOAA solar position algorithm and shown in your device's local time zone. Accuracy is typically within a minute or two. Location data never leaves your device.

Find sunrise and sunset times
When the sun rises and sets varies by location and date, and knowing the times helps planning. This calculator gives sunrise, sunset, day length, solar noon and civil twilight for any date and place.
Why the times depend on place and date
Sunrise and sunset depend on your latitude and the date, because the Earth’s tilt changes the sun’s path through the year, dramatically so near the poles and mildly near the equator. Calculating the times, along with day length and twilight, from a location and date gives the actual daylight window, which matters for outdoor planning, photography (the golden hour around sunrise and sunset), and understanding the seasons. Civil twilight, the period of usable light before sunrise and after sunset, is included because it extends the practical daylight.
A calculation, not advice
It runs entirely in your browser, so nothing you enter is uploaded, keeping your figures on your own machine.

Frequently Asked Questions
Why do sunrise and sunset times vary?
Because they depend on latitude and date. The Earth’s tilt changes the sun’s path through the year, more dramatically the further from the equator.
What is solar noon?
The moment the sun is highest in the sky, midway between sunrise and sunset. It is the true midpoint of daylight for the location and date.
What is civil twilight?
The period of usable light before sunrise and after sunset, which extends the practical daylight beyond the sunrise and sunset times themselves.
What is it useful for?
Outdoor planning, photography around the golden hour, and understanding daylight through the seasons at a location.
Is my data uploaded?
No. The calculation runs entirely in your browser.
Privacy & Security
Runs entirely in your browser. No data is sent to any server.
