Generate FAQ schema markup

FAQ schema uses the Schema.org FAQPage type to mark up a list of questions and answers on a page. This generator converts your questions and answers into valid JSON-LD that you can add to your page, making it eligible for FAQ rich results, where the questions appear as an expandable list directly in the search results. You can enter questions and answers prefixed with Q and A, or simply on alternating lines.

Each pair becomes a Question with an acceptedAnswer, exactly as the FAQPage specification requires.

Using FAQ rich results

FAQ rich results can significantly increase the space your listing occupies in search and give searchers answers before they click, which can improve visibility and qualified traffic. Google requires that the questions and answers in the markup are the same as those visible on the page and are not promotional or advertising content. The FAQ should genuinely help users.

Only mark up FAQs that appear on the page itself, and avoid duplicating the same FAQ across many pages. Validate the output and keep it in sync with your visible content. All generation happens locally in your browser.

Frequently Asked Questions

What is FAQ schema?

It is FAQPage structured data that marks up questions and answers, making a page eligible for FAQ rich results in search.

How do I format my input?

Enter each question and its answer, either prefixed with Q and A or on alternating lines, and the tool pairs them automatically.

Must the FAQ be visible on the page?

Yes. Search engines require the questions and answers in the markup to match FAQ content that users can actually see on the page.

Can I use FAQ schema on any page?

It should only mark up genuine FAQs. It must not be used for promotional content or to list questions that are not really on the page.

Does FAQ markup guarantee rich results?
