See your listing before Google shows it
The title and description you write are not always what appears in search results, because Google truncates them to fit. This tool previews how your page title and description will look as a search snippet, so you can see the listing a searcher sees and adjust before it goes live rather than after.
Why length is the whole game
Search results give each listing a limited width, and text beyond it is cut with an ellipsis. A title that reads well in full may lose its most important words to truncation; a description may have its call to action cut off. Because the limit is measured in pixels rather than characters, a title of wide letters truncates sooner than one of narrow letters. Previewing shows you the real cut-off point for your specific text.
The snippet is your advert
The title and description are the advert for your page, and the only thing most searchers judge before clicking. Fitting the important words inside the visible area, front-loading what matters, and writing a description that earns the click are what turn a ranking into traffic. The preview lets you tune all of that against the actual display. It runs in your browser.

Frequently Asked Questions
Why does Google not show my full title?
Because search results truncate titles and descriptions to fit a limited width, cutting the rest with an ellipsis. The preview shows where your text will be cut.
Is the limit measured in characters or pixels?
In pixels, so a title made of wide letters truncates sooner than one of narrow letters. That is why a character count alone is not enough.
What should I put first in a title?
The most important words, because truncation cuts from the end. Front-loading what matters keeps it visible even if the title is shortened.
Does the description affect ranking?
It is not a direct ranking factor, but it is the advert that earns the click, so a compelling, complete description turns rankings into traffic.
Is my input uploaded?
No. The preview runs entirely in your browser.
