Verify your structured data before search engines do
Structured data in JSON-LD tells search engines exactly what a page represents, a product, a recipe, an FAQ, and can unlock rich results. But it only works if it is valid. This validator checks your JSON-LD for the errors that stop it being used, so you can fix them before relying on it.
Invalid structured data simply does nothing
The frustrating thing about broken structured data is that it fails silently. A malformed JSON block, a missing required property, or the wrong type name does not throw a visible error; the rich result just never appears, and you are left wondering why. Validating catches the syntax errors and missing pieces that would otherwise cause search engines to quietly ignore the markup.
Rich results are earned, not guaranteed
Valid structured data makes a page eligible for enhanced listings, stars, prices, FAQ dropdowns, but eligibility is not a promise, since search engines decide when to show them. What is certain is that invalid markup is ineligible. Getting the JSON-LD correct is the necessary first step. The validation runs in your browser, so your markup is not uploaded.

Frequently Asked Questions
What is JSON-LD structured data?
A block of JSON in a page that describes what the content represents, such as a product or an FAQ, in a form search engines understand and can use for rich results.
Why does my structured data do nothing?
Because it fails silently when invalid. A syntax error, missing required property or wrong type name causes search engines to ignore it, with no visible error on the page.
Does valid markup guarantee a rich result?
No. It makes the page eligible, but search engines decide when to show enhanced listings. Invalid markup, however, is never eligible.
What does the validator catch?
JSON syntax errors, missing required properties and type problems that would stop the markup being used.
Is my markup uploaded?
No. The validation runs entirely in your browser.
