Extract hashtags from any post

The Hashtag Extractor finds every hashtag in your text and collects them into a clean list. A hashtag is a hash symbol followed by letters, numbers or underscores, and the tool recognises them wherever they appear in a caption, comment, article or exported post. Punctuation and surrounding words are ignored, so you get only the tags themselves.

Options let you remove duplicate tags, convert them all to lowercase for consistency, and choose whether to output them separated by spaces, on individual lines, or as a comma-separated list ready for a spreadsheet.

Reuse and analyse hashtags

Social media managers extract the hashtags from a successful post to reuse on future content. Analysts collect tags across many posts to study which ones perform. Creators tidy up a messy caption by pulling the tags out, editing them, and pasting them back.

Hashtag detection is Unicode-aware where your browser supports it, so tags in non-Latin scripts are captured, with a safe Latin fallback otherwise. All extraction runs locally in your browser, keeping your content private.

Frequently Asked Questions

What counts as a hashtag?

A hash symbol followed immediately by letters, numbers or underscores. The tag ends at the first space or punctuation that is not part of a valid tag.

Can it remove duplicate tags?

Yes. With deduplication on, tags that match regardless of case are listed only once, so your final list has no repeats.

Does it keep the order of the hashtags?

Yes. Tags are listed in the order they first appear in your text, which preserves any deliberate sequencing.

Can I get the tags on separate lines?

Yes. Choose the line output option to place each hashtag on its own line, or pick commas or spaces instead.

Does it handle non-English hashtags?

Where your browser supports Unicode matching, tags using accented or non-Latin letters are captured. A Latin fallback keeps the tool working everywhere.
