Reverse Word Order

Reverse the order of words, not the letters

This tool reverses the sequence of words in your text so the final word appears first and the first word appears last. Crucially, it does not reverse the letters inside each word, so every word remains readable and correctly spelled. "The quick brown fox" becomes "fox brown quick The".

You can reverse each line on its own, which preserves your paragraph structure and line breaks, or flatten everything into a single reversed stream. The line-by-line option is the default because it keeps lists and poems tidy.

Where reversing word order is useful

Writers use it to experiment with sentence rhythm and create mirror or retrograde poetry. Teachers build sentence-unscrambling exercises. Developers and testers use reversed strings to check parsing and display logic. Puzzle makers create word-order riddles.
